This 12,000 SF warehouse and office building was custom designed for a firm that sells and services microscopes.  The site design allowed the building to be integrated into the existing topography to minimize site impact.  The client’s interest in a quality thermal envelope led to the use of insulated concrete forms for all exterior walls.  Brick was selected for durability and appearance.  Deep overhangs on the South and West side provide shade and limit solar gain on the hottest days.  The office wing has exposed structure and mechanicals, resulting in an open, loft-like experience with ample day lighting.  The training room features flexibility and a great view to the south.
