The University of Pittsburgh, located on 100 acres within a congested inner city neighborhood, selected DRS to coordinate a 10-year plan to increase its enrollment from 20,000 full-time equivalent students to 40,000. The master plan included extensive programming plus research and analysis of all the colleges and department activities. The analysis included a survey of all present curricular and physical facilities. A physical plan was developed that integrated the campus with its urban context.
New facilities for nine schools were identified at the Forbes Complex, formerly the site of old Forbes Field. |
