To replace a WWII era structure with an up-to-date facility, DRS explored three alternate design schemes.  The three-story option selected by the Department of Defense was designed of sustainable design principles.  The arrangement places the 10-suite Distinguished Visitors Quarters, to be located on the first floor, with the remaining 30-room visiting Officers Quarters located on the upper two floors. 

A 16-person conference room is located adjacent to the lobby/reception area and family housing offices on the first floor.  A lounge on the second floor and third level roof deck make use of available space and will not increase overall project costs.
