Slippery Rock University selected DRS Architects and Sasaki Associates to design a new or renovate the existing Student Union.  After conducting a study to determine the feasibility of renovating, it was decided that a new building would be constructed.  This three story scheme includes the following program elements.  Lower Level – bookstore, game room, Rocky’s Grille, commuters lounge, service and receiving.  First Floor – lobby, lounge, upper bookstore, administrative offices, café, emporium, meeting rooms, prefunction space, ballroom, multi-cultural area, dining and support spaces.  Second Floor – upper lobby, atrium lounge, student organizations and administrative offices.
