The Community College of Allegheny County turned a department store into a 150,000-square-foot campus, which consolidated facilities from other locations on its new north campus.
The college uses 65 percent of the building. It centers on a three-story atrium surrounded by common areas, including registration, child development and security offices, a student lounge and food services. The rest of the building is dedicated to classrooms, science and computer laboratories, faculty offices and support services, the library and a multipurpose sport facility and locker rooms. |
